A street photography project founded in 2009 by Thomas Hawk in San Francisco. I joined the project in 2011 and it has forever changed my outlook on interaction with strangers on the street.

It has been almost two months since I first met her. A heartbreaking story that troubled me a great deal. My brain said "let it go" but my heart said "you can't". My heart won. So I stuck my neck out, ventured into a family's relationship that was none of my business and hoped that somewhere, somehow it would make a positive difference. The jury is still out.

I saw her for the second time tonight. We talked for a while. Once again, it made me sad, but at least this time she seemed more determined about her way out. She is a sweet, beautiful girl who I hope finds her way off the street; for her sake and that of her family. I still can't let it go.
