Today is the 2 year anniversary of my involvement in the $2 Portrait project. I had arranged to meet up with my very first subject and take him to breakfast. Unfortunately, Robert (aka Superman) was a &quot;no show&quot;. As I got back to my car, Henry approached me and asked if I could help him. I told him about the $2 Portrait project and he began posing for the picture. After taking a few shots, we talked for a short while.<br><br>Henry Lee Williams is 64 years old and a Vietnam War veteran. He is from Chicago and has been unable to find work. Henry said he&#39;s a plumber and electrician and has gone to different construction sites in the City and hasn&#39;t been able to get hired on.<br><br>Henry asked if I could stretch the $2 a little because all he wants to do is to get a flea bag hotel room and sleep on a pillow for 12 hours. He said he typically sleeps in an alley or loading dock by Presidential Towers and hasn&#39;t slept in a bed for weeks. I gave Henry $5 and he shook my hand with a strong grip, thanking me profusely.<br><br>Taken 3/23/13
